The Parable of the Unjust Judge

As you read "The Parable of the Unjust Judge" in Luke 18:1-8, consider the following:

This parable is a contrast, not a comparison; we are nothing like the widow; Jehovah is nothing like the unjust judge.

We do not have to wrestle a blessing from the white knuckles of a tightfisted God:  He is a loving, caring Father!

1.  God’s people ought always to pray.

2.  God’s people should not lose heart.

3.  Our God and Father is a just judge.

4.  As a loving, caring Father, our God longs for us to make requests of Him.

5.  Our God and Father will not lose heart with us.

6.  Our God and Father responds to our prayers.

7.  Prayer is an act of faith.

8.  Jesus is coming again.

9.  When Jesus comes He will be looking for faith-filled people who pray.

Hear the conclusion!

“…pray without ceasing…” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

“…we do not lose heart…” (2 Corinthians 4:1, 16)
